There’s a new vampire in town — or make that an old one.

Katherine (Nina Dobrev), who returned to Mystic Falls in the season 1 finale of The Vampire Diaries (after being trapped in a tomb by a witch in the 1800s), is here to stay a while — and cause even more chaos for the town that’s had its share of troubles. In an exclusive trailer for season 2 of the CW show, Katherine is out to play games and get revenge, coming between brothers Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and facing Elena along the way.

“Last year was just a taste. Get ready for the year of the Kat,” a voice says in the clip. “The ex games are about to begin.”

Billing herself as Kat Graham, the drop-dead gorgeous gal better known as Mystic Falls’ witchy Bonnie has dropped a rump-thumper called “Sassy” (finally available on iTunes) that we can totally get down to. Of course, Graham isn’t a newbie to the music scene — her dad was a record exec and she’s recorded with will.i.am — but even with her connections, it’s clear this isn’t the ill-advised auto-tuned folly of some wannabe looking to plow us down with her star vehicle. It’s a hot mix of attitude, Ciara-esque sexiness and a stick-in-your-head rhythm that, best of all, doesn’t make us cringe. In fact, Graham’s got a groove thang going on here and we can’t wait to hear more.

Choreographed by Rosero McCoy, ‘Honey 2′ features Katerina Graham from ‘The Vampire Diaries,’ Brittany Perry-Russell, Randy Wayne, Seychelle Gabriel, Tyler Nelson, Luke Broadlick, Melissa Smith, Christopher “War” Martinez and Lonette McKee, who reprises her role as Connie Daniels.

The legacy of legendary dancer and choreographer Honey Daniels lives on in spirited 17-year-old Maria Bennett (Graham). After a brush with the law, Maria has returned to her gritty Bronx roots to rebuild her life with nothing but a talent for street dance and a burning ambition to prove herself. She finds refuge in the place that made her feel most alive as kid: the rec center where Honey’s exuberant classes ignited her passion for dance.

Keeping on the straight and narrow means living with her mom, Connie, and holding down a job just to make ends meet. But a rare night out at a local dance club gives her an opportunity to let loose with a joy and energy she had almost forgotten. Maria’s killer moves catch the eye of Brandon, a rec center volunteer who invites her to help him transform a group of gifted but undisciplined dancers called the HDs.

Maria’s skills also attract the attention of her old boyfriend, Luis, the charismatic leader of the award-winning 718 dance crew. Luis hopes to lure Maria back into the street world she is trying to escape, but seeing a chance to create a new and meaningful life, Maria pours her heart and soul into dance and begins training the HDs to compete on a TV dance competition. That means going up against the 718s and Luis. Like Honey before her, Maria rediscovers the thrill of dancing as she finds out who she truly is and where she belongs.
